I will not be changing my default icon. I'm fully willing to be suspended. Breastfeeding is not inappropriate in any way. End of story.
Dear LiveJournal user arianamama,
It has come to our attention that your default userpic, located at http://www.livejournal.com/userpic/4646 2311/2559100, is presently in violation of the LiveJournal Terms of Service. Our policies on the content restrictions on default userpics are described at http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqb rowse.bml?faqid=111. In particular, images of the female breast that depict the nipple or areola regions are inappropriate for use as a default userpic. While we must stress that the actual content of the image is not in violation, its use as a default userpic is.
You're welcome to continue using the userpic as a non-default icon. However, we ask that you change your default userpic to something that does meet these guidelines, or select no default userpic at all, by no later than 12:01am Eastern Time, Sunday, 28 May 2006, to avoid the necessity of further action against your account.

Have people already been suspended?
That list has been going for a Long time so people could have been suspended for other reasons long ago.

i am also a women's studies student at the university of victoria, in british columbia, canada, and i have sent out an email to the women's studies listserv explaining the situation and encouraging everyone to sign the petition. the email has also been sent to all women's studies profs in the department. i have also written letters and am spreading the word of this.
i hope that you win your battle, and know that i (and i hope my community!) will be right behind you... i will post if/ when i feel i have the community's support. good luck,

Thank you for your post and your support! And it's great to know that there's an LJ community that deals with endometriosis; my SIL struggled with serious infertility issues because of it and it was amazingly debilitating for her emotionally.

I love YOUR icon. That's a really lovely picture.
of course it's your choice, but i would hate for all the communities your in to loose the posts you'd made, since you have helped a lot of women, and new mothers might be reading back entries to get info.
